Proving Prevention Works...

Suffolk County Prevention Resource Center is dedicated to strengthening communities and empowering lives.  As a non-profit resource center we are committed to building and supporting healthy drug-free communities through public education, professional training and the provision of effective tools for those working to prevent drug and alcohol abuse.

Suffolk County Prevention Resource Center is funded by New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (NYS OASAS), Suffolk County Department of Health/Division of Community Mental Hygiene Services, and South Oaks Hospital.

The Suffolk County Prevention Resource Center has been a valuable resource for many agencies and community groups. Various community coalitions have looked to the PRC for training, guidance and support in forming and sustaining their community coalitions to best address the detrimental social issues posed by Alcoholism and Substance abuse.
