With schools back in swing I want to take a moment to remind everyone of AlcoholEdu for High School Parents.
This is a very exciting free resource that you are welcome to “share” with parents across your community. Please do so! Post instructions on your websites, add to the resource page of your Facebook, Email to your local PTA and school administrators – ask them to include in their monthly newsletters to parents, hand out at coalition events, back to school nights etc.. We all know the start of the school year is a great time to get the word out…so even if you have posted before – don’t hesitate to do so again.
Briefly:
AlcoholEdu for Parents helps parents have a more effective conversation with their teen regarding underage drinking, by helping them to understand Social Host Liability, dispels common misperceptions about underage drinking, assists with strategies and techniques for monitoring and setting rules, gives guidance on what to do if your teen is experimenting, and get expert advice for dealing with common situations.
